You find out your customer is insolvent after the deadline has passed. Now you see it the day it appears in the BORME.
Every day we check the insolvency notices in Spain’s Official Companies Gazette (BORME) against your customers. If one of them appears, we show you the court and the link. You confirm it, and their follow-up switches track.

Step by step
From the gazette to your follow-up, without copying dates.
Step 1
We read the BORME every day
Through the BOE’s official open data API: insolvency notices (declaration of insolvency, opening of the liquidation phase, conclusion of insolvency proceedings), with their date, court and link.
Step 2
Possible match: you decide
The BORME publishes the company name, not its tax ID (NIF/CIF). If it matches a customer, we show you and you confirm whether it’s them. If you dismiss it, nothing changes.
Step 3
Their reminders pause
Once you confirm it, automatic reminders to that customer stop: getting paid no longer goes through reminders, it goes through the insolvency proceedings.
Step 4
The deadlines are recalculated
The insolvency date goes to the deadline tracker: one month to file your claim and the cut-off for recovering the VAT, invoice by invoice (from Professional).
How it works
An official source, your decision and cautious dates.
Only a public source that can be reused
We use the BOE’s open data API for the BORME, which may be reused as long as the source is cited. We don’t collect notices from the Single Judicial Notice Board or data from the Public Insolvency Register, neither of which allows automated retrieval.
It never acts on a similar name
A match by company name is always confirmed by a person: your customer record may have a trading name, a typo or a company with a similar name.
The date, on the cautious side
Insolvency deadlines run from the publication of the notice in the BOE (Spain’s Official State Gazette), which the BORME doesn’t give. The court order date, which comes earlier, is suggested instead, so deadlines fall earlier rather than later. You can change it to the BOE date.
Insolvency VAT, counted properly
For a customer in insolvency proceedings, the VAT corrective invoice must be issued within two months of the end of the period for filing claims (art. 80.Three of the Spanish VAT Act). It’s calculated date to date, in two steps.
Only what’s needed
For each notice we store the company name, the type of ruling, the date of the order, the court, the case number and the link. No directors and none of the rest of the text.
No credit scoring of anyone
Remitide doesn’t score your customers or predict non-payment: it only tells you that an official notice exists and what that changes for your deadlines.
Guidance only, based on official publications; check it with your accountant or lawyer. Remitide doesn’t assess anyone’s creditworthiness: it only tells you that a publication exists. What about your invoicing software?
You can buy an insolvency alert in plenty of places. What matters is what happens next.
Knowing a customer is insolvent doesn’t help much if their reminders keep going out and nobody notes when the deadline to file your claim runs out.
In your invoicing softwareNone of the software we reviewed comes with built-in insolvency alerts for your customers based on the BORME, the BOE or the Public Insolvency Register.
With Remitide on topMonitoring checks the BORME against your customers every day, without you having to register each customer with another service.
In your invoicing softwareAn alert from an outside service doesn’t touch your reminders or your deadlines: you have to carry it over by hand.
With Remitide on topOnce you confirm it, reminders to that customer pause and the insolvency date feeds the calculation for your claim and the VAT.
In your invoicing softwareSome software integrates third-party financing, credit insurance or outsourced debt collection.
With Remitide on topRemitide doesn’t sell credit insurance, financing or debt collection: it has nothing to gain from whatever you decide to do about that customer.
What we say about invoicing software comes from a review of the official websites and help centres of the most widely used invoicing software in Spain, carried out on 3 October 2026. It describes the category as a whole and may not apply to a particular product or its add-ons.

Frequently asked questions
What people usually ask.
Where does the data come from?
From Section One of the BORME, Spain’s Official Companies Gazette, through the BOE’s open data API. Data source: Agencia Estatal Boletín Oficial del Estado, Spain’s Official State Gazette agency (BORME, Section One).
Why do I have to confirm the match?
Because the BORME publishes the company name, not its tax ID. Even though company names are unique in the Spanish Companies Register, your customer record may have the trading name or a typo. Nothing changes in your reminders until you confirm it’s your customer.
Does it also monitor self-employed customers?
No. The BORME publishes rulings on companies registered in the Companies Register. Insolvency proceedings for individuals aren’t published there, and entries without a company form aren’t stored.
Which date does it use for the deadlines?
The date of the court order published in the BORME, which comes before the publication of the notice in the BOE that the deadlines run from. That way the deadlines fall earlier, never later. If you have the BOE date, you can change it to that.
Does it replace my lawyer or accountant?
No. Guidance only, based on official publications; check it with your accountant or lawyer. Remitide doesn’t assess anyone’s creditworthiness: it only tells you that a publication exists. Filing your claim or correcting the VAT is done by you or your adviser.
Can I still write to a customer in insolvency proceedings?
Yes, by hand, if you need to. What stops is the automatic reminders to that customer, so they don’t keep receiving reminders about a debt that’s now part of the insolvency proceedings.
